FlexBook was built in Bengaluru to fix a problem we saw every day: premium Indian salons and spas running on a patchwork of WhatsApp groups, paper notebooks, spreadsheets, and four disconnected apps. We built one platform that does everything.

Our story

Built for the salons of Indiranagar and Koramangala.

Walk into a premium salon on 12th Main, Koramangala and you'll find the owner managing three different phone screens — one for bookings via Instagram DMs, one for WhatsApp reminders, one for billing. Ask how their best stylist's commission worked out last month and they'll estimate from memory, or worse, pull out a notebook.

The global booking platforms built for US and UK salons don't understand India. They don't understand GST invoicing, UPI payments at checkout, WhatsApp as the primary communication channel, tier-based commission structures where a senior stylist earns differently on services versus retail versus packages, or the operational reality of running a walk-in queue alongside online bookings on a Saturday afternoon.

We built FlexBook in Bengaluru, for India, from first principles. We sat in salons and spas for six months before writing production code. Every feature exists because a real business owner in India told us they needed it — and couldn't find it anywhere else. We intend to keep building that way.

From a notebook to a platform.

2022

The idea — born in Indiranagar

Co-founder Rohan's mother ran a premium beauty salon on 100 Feet Road, Indiranagar. She used a WhatsApp group for bookings, a notebook for stylist commissions, and a separate app for billing. Rohan spent a weekend building her a tool that combined all three. Her revenue went up 28% in the first month.

2023

Proving it works across Bengaluru

Word spread to salons in Koramangala, HSR Layout, and Whitefield. Within six months, eighteen premium salons and spas were running on the tool. The co-founders left their product roles at Swiggy and Razorpay, incorporated FlexBook Pvt. Ltd., and raised a pre-seed round from angel investors in the wellness industry.

2024

Expanding beyond Bengaluru

Demand arrived from premium salons and destination spas in Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Pune. We rebuilt the commission engine, added retail inventory, and launched the VIP membership module after repeated requests from high-end spas running complex loyalty programmes.

2025

Building toward scale

Today we work with 60+ salons, spas, and wellness centres across India, processing over ₹3 crore in bookings per month. We're opening early access to the next wave of businesses ready to grow faster and work smarter.

We will never build a horizontal SaaS tool for all industries. Every engineering decision, every design choice, and every feature prioritisation is made in the context of one question: does this make life better for an Indian salon or spa owner? We are not trying to be everything to everyone. We are trying to be irreplaceable to you.

The problem is personal

Our founding team has family members who run salons in Indiranagar and Koramangala. We've watched revenue disappear to no-shows, seen Sunday evenings consumed by commission spreadsheets, and felt the frustration of billing software that doesn't understand GST or UPI. That direct context shapes every decision we make.

Built from your workflows

Before writing the first line of production code, we spent six months in salons and spas — watching front desks handle walk-ins, sitting with owners during monthly commission reconciliation, and shadowing therapists through their consultation flows. Every feature in FlexBook has a specific conversation behind it.
